Hello and welcome  to this course in how to stretch your dog at home. My name is Eleanor and I'm going to be your guide.

During this course we are going to empower you to help your dog at home by showing you how to safely and effectively stretch your dog and form a regular stretching routine and in doing so to help you to improve your dog’s welfare and to keep them fit and healthy as long as possible.

This course is in 4 modules and is going to use a series of videos and downloadable documents to help you learn. We are also going to work with a dog owner to show you how to carry out these stretches as well as using pictures and other demonstrations.

So wherever you are, make sure you're comfortable and enjoy learning about how to stretch your dog.

As we mentioned earlier, this course is in 4 modules, the first is an introduction and will teach you a lot of the things you need to know to be able to safely stretch your dog. Such as what to look for in your dog, basic doggie body language, the benefits of stretching, what we mean when we talk about the muscular system as well as giving you some exercises to practice on your partner should you wish before we get working on our dogs.

In the next 3 modules we will look more closely at the forelimb, hindlimb and spine in turn, we will look at the bones that make them up and the muscles we are going to stretch, we will then carry out these stretches and give you a step by step guide.

You can watch this course on your laptop or on your phone.

We will highlight the key points and the take home musts whilst giving you more in-depth information should you wish.
